Chakra frequencies

By Cimatica · Updated

There is no universal chakra table. Compare the app’s five sets as conventions for sound practice, not measurements of the body.

Compare the app's target frequencies

Values in Hz for the seven centres with the default mapping, without the 528 Hz/heart swap. These are app conventions, not bodily measurements.

The app’s five sets

The app’s Solfeggio set assigns 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852 and 963 Hz to the seven centres; 174 and 285 Hz are optional.

The two bowl sets use C major with the reference A = 432 or A = 440 Hz. The reference is not the frequency of every note.

Cousto names the set inspired by the Cosmic Octave. The app’s adopted associations and targets appear in the comparison table.

Scientific pitch starts from C = 256 Hz and rises through the just scale: 256, 288, 320, 341.3, 384, 426.7, 480 Hz.

Symbolic figures

The main figures draw on lotuses with four, six, ten, twelve, sixteen and two petals, plus an illustration for the crown. They are graphical choices, not measured images of the body.

Colours in the app

Colours distinguish the centres and help you follow a target. Red for the root and violet for the crown are part of the selected visual convention, not sound measurements.

Which one to choose

Choose targets that match your instrument or recording. A different convention does not make a note wrong; check the tuning you are using.

In the app you can switch scale with one tap, and each chakra keeps its figure: only the target note changes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the heart chakra frequency?

It depends on the scale: 639 Hz in Solfeggio, the F of the C major scale for crystal bowls (342.88 Hz at A = 432), 136.10 Hz in Cousto's Cosmic Octave, 341.3 Hz in C = 256 scientific pitch.

Is 528 Hz the solar plexus or the heart?

In the most widespread Solfeggio mapping it is the solar plexus, but because it is called the love frequency it is often attached to the heart. The app supports both.

Do chakra frequencies have proven effects?

No. They are traditional and spiritual associations, not proven medical effects. Listening to sounds you find pleasant may help you relax, which is a different claim.
